The New Zealand Social Statistics Network (NZSSN) assists in developing social science research in the academic, government, and private sectors, following the model of the Australian Consortium for Social and Political Research Incorporated (ACSPRI).
NZSSN has been running short course programmes covering social research methods and statistics, each year since 2005. We currently aim for a programme at Massey University in Wellington each November and one at Waipapa Taumata Rau | University of Auckland each February. Some courses remain online only, especially where licensed software is involved. We currently have no plans to introduce a hybrid model for courses, so they are either in person or online only, as described below and on the course pages.

NZSSN’s activities are administered through COMPASS Research Centre, Waipapa Taumata Rau | University of Auckland, but please note that courses carry no university accreditation. Enrolments are managed by the University’s Public Programmes (Event Services).
