Description

This project encompassed the long-term follow-ups of cohorts from several maternal and perinatal randomised controlled trials conducted in the 1970s. It also involved looking at new approaches that might make these kinds of studies sustainable into the future, with examination of how administrative data could be utilised to follow up the cohorts, their children, and future generations, without the need to locate and survey the participants anew.

COMPASS led the investigation into the use of administrative data and provided data management for the follow-ups of: Antenatal Corticosteroids: Adult Health Outcomes Review (ANCHOR) and Gestational Diabetes Mellitus Study of Diagnostic Thresholds (GEMS).
